When somebody screws up as massively as Chris Brown did, you just take it, move on and try to learn from it. He’s going to be labeled a woman beater for some time to come. His career is probably going to suffer for that. Chris Brown just released a new album called “Graffiti.” He learned that major retailers such as Wal-Mart were not carrying his album due to his legal troubles, a fact that Wal-Mart has disputed. So Chris Brown gets on his Twitter account and sounds off on his record label and the retailers for “blackballing” him.
According to www.mtv.com, Chris Brown was in a Wal-Mart. While in that Wal-Mart he looked for his CD and could not find it. Turns out that the album had actually sold out in that particular store. So Chris Brown gets back on Twitter, thanks his friends and says goodbye forever.
I could care less about Chris Brown and his Twitter account. I don’t care if the major retailers do try to blackball him from the industry and neither should he. I was not there the night he beat up on Rihanna; however, we all know that he hit her multiple times. That’s a fact, he’s been convicted, and it is not going away. To lash out on your Twitter account about how the first album that you released since beating up your girlfriend is not being in stores in downright asinine. He should really expect something like this to happen.
Accept the fact that there is going to be a backlash. You messed up, deal with it. If you are ever truly healed you will eventually be forgiven. This country loves a good comeback story, but it is going to take time. To get upset at the drop of a hat is not the right message you want to convey. It shows that you have a short temper. A short temper and violent tendencies are never a good mix. I do believe that leaving Twitter is a good idea. Lay low for awhile. Quietly release your album. Show some remorse whenever you’re questioned about it. Accept the fact that you have a problem and work at making it right. It’s not going away. Get used to it.
